Each trip will include a team of 2-3: Pastor John Rushing, a co-leading pastor from the United States, and possibly a worship leader. They will join Pastor Samson Otieno in the host country with local volunteer clergy to conduct at two pastor/church leadership training conferences with local denominational associations in predominantly rural settings.
Possibly. Some stateside churches are asking to partner with ACTS Africa in tandem with its scheduled conferences and locations, taking their own teams to do evangelism, work with local orphanages, medical missions, and various forms of community assistance. Our on-the-ground contacts and network for logistics coordination are currently established in Central East Africa. There are many ministries serving in Western and Southern African nations. In the immediate future, East Africa is a massive undertaking and opportunity for our organization.
100% for individuals and businesses. An email is sent immediately when an online donation is made through allegrosolutions.org (see Support Page). If a donation is mailed by check or money order, receipt is mailed to the donor’s home or business. End-of-year statements are also mailed/emailed for tax purposes.
Absolutely. This is true of a one-time gift or one may set up recurring monthly donations and designate the specific amount. One can also mail a donation by check. Click here for mailing instructions.
Airfare for John Rushing and Pastor Otieno (as needed); lodging and meals; ground transportation; security as needed; stipend for Pastor Samson Otieno (East Africa Logistics Coordinator); immunizations and travel documents for trip participants; equipment rental for conferences (meeting tents or venue rental, audio/visual/tech, seating rental); conference curriculum materials; meals for conference participants. There are always opportunities to be a blessing beyond essential expenses as funds are available (orphan and widow ministries, clean drinking water solutions for local communities, medical supplies, etc.).
No less than 91.5% (significantly higher than national average for non-profits). There is a 5% administrative fee levied by the non-profit service provider, Allegro Solutions, Inc. The remaining 3.5% varies: credit card donations charge ACTS an additional 3%; online debit transfers and mailed checks charge less.

Yes. Though there is no IRS requirement for a board of directors, we do have an Advisory Board for the purpose of guidance and accountability. You can see the ACTS Advisory Board members here.. Allegro Organizational Solutions, Inc. is the oversight 501c3 organization that manages and documents donations, expenditures and meets IRS requirements for expenditure justification and documentation.
