ACTS Africa is back on track and headed for the East African Equator!

ACTS Africa “officially” launched this past March. The first trip of 2020 in mid-March went, but went sideways (see previous story). We’re back on track come October 11-21 and heading for the East African Equator with the BOGO Boys (self-identified as such).

Who are the BOGO Boys – Buy One, Get One? If you just watched their video, you’ve already met them. Jared Herzog partnered last October after being on the 2019 season of The Voice to go across the Pond with me in June. We’d “bought” our tickets, scheduled conferences, secured transportation and lodging. Well, that didn’t happen. Hakuna matata – “no worries” [in Swahili and the Lion King]. Thankfully, everything was refundable! Jared’s now teamed up with his best bud, Jesse Foy who’s the “get one” compadre on this trip. They’ll be a dynamic duo! Jared will lead worship for two conferences as well as in Masai Villages. Jesse will be behind the camera and working all kinds of photographic and cinematic wonders to capture and communicate the spiritual adventures in real time and after we return.

North and south of the Kenyan Equator are our destinations at the rural towns of Siaya (north) and Homa Bay (south), respectively. Both are within 1-2 hour drives of Kisumu in Western Kenya on Lake Victoria.

There is always an opportunity to add new partners to our support base. If you believe in the mission and want to invest in changed lives changing lives, click here to learn more. Even a $10 recurring monthly gift adds up as more people share the ACTS Africa vision! And please pray. Covid-19 is still with us. Though this region of Kenya is currently reporting only three cases of Covid, we know anything can happen between now and then. We’d sure love to go sooner than later, but leaving that in God’s hands.

Since you’ve made it this far, why not sign up for our newsletter here to keep up with the stories as they unfold and more are added.

Finally, we do have an ACTS Africa Facebook page. Like it. Please.
