WAY AWAY IN WEBUYE (way-boo-yay)
17 YEAR OLD IS FIRST AMERICAN EYEWITNESS TO ACTS AFRICA!

He was there in Webuye in 2007 and saw it happen. Jared Bowie is the Groups Pastor at Life Church, Wichita, Kansas. I’ve known him and his family since he was four! At the age of about 17 Jared went on his first trip with me to Kenya along with his father, brother, my son and about 10 others. When given the opportunity to stay behind and work on putting a roof on an orphanage or traveling two hours north and listen to me preach a pastors conference for two days, he chose to go north. The passion for teaching and preaching God’s truth was already in his heart at such a young age. Since that trip, we’ve shared three more. I’ve seen him grow up, get married, go into full time ministry and become not only a pastor, but a very effective proclaimer of the Gospel with a compassionate heart for all people.
